The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has announced Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate in the 2023 presidential elections.

Bola Tinubu made the announcement in Daura, after he met with President Muhammadu Buhari in Katsina State.

The APC Presidential candidate said that Shettima was selected because the former Borno State governor is “competent, capable, reliable and able to be picked as a running mate”.

Following the selection of Kashim Shettima, the APC Vice-Presidential placeholder candidate Kabiru Masari resigned from the ticket.
