The Katsina state government says a total of 69 primary healthcare centers have been closed down due to security challenges in the communities where they were located.
The Executive Secretary of the Katsina State Primary Health Care Agency, Dr. SHAMSUDEEN YAHAYA, disclosed this while speaking with newsmen.
Dr. YAHAYA said that 2 of the healthcare facilities that were recently renovated were burnt down by terrorists in Batsari Local Government Area.
He further noted almost every week, staff of the agency located in remote communities request to be transferred to other areas considered to be safer.
