3 days of mourning has been declared in the 6 states of the South-West, following the deadly attack on St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo state.
The 3-day mourning period which runs from today June 13 till Wednesday June 15 was declared by the South-West governors Forum in a statement issued after a meeting.
The South-West governors condemned the incident which they described as a terrorist attack, adding that the attack compels for an immediate intervention in the whole of the South West to nip insurgency in the bud.
They also recommended an increase in the scope of surveillance of the activities of undocumented migrants and settlers into the South-West by relevant security agencies in all the States.
The Governors further directed that Flags fly at Half Mast in all public buildings, facilitates and official residences across all the States in the South West in honor of the victims of the Owo terror attack.
