Former Governor of Anambra state and a presidential aspirant, PETER OBI, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and also withdrawn from the Presidential contest on the party’s platform. 

PETER OBI who announced his withdrawal from the party’s primary in a letter sent to the National Chairman and dated May 25^th, 2022, explained that he took the decision to leave the party because of his firm commitment to rescue Nigeria. 

He also lamented the recent development within the party, which have made practically impossible for him to continue to participate and make constructive contributions to the party.
