The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees has decried the rebuttal of Governor KAYODE FAYEMI and his Ondo state counterpart, ROTIMI AKEREDOLU on the implementation of political and financial autonomy for Local governments in Nigeria.
While commending the President, MUHAMMADU BUHARI for supporting local government autonomy, NULGE urged FAYEMI and AKEREDOLU to shift their grounds in favour of the federal government.
FAYEMI, had in a meeting with peace and security stakeholders condemned calls for local government autonomy, saying the issues about the third tier of government should be left to the states to decide.
