The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has suspended its 64-day strike, which began on August 2, 2021.
The President of the NARD, Dr. GODIYA ISHAYA, who confirmed this to news men today, stated that its members will resume work on Wednesday this week by 8 am.
He explained that the association took the decision to suspend the industrial action due to a simple majority vote of members at a meeting held on Sunday.
The NARD noted that the basis of the suspension was the obvious efforts by the Federal Government to fulfill some of its minimum demands.
It has however given the Federal Government a six-week window to fulfill its demands after which it will call a National Executive Council meeting to review the progress made.
