An Oyo state High Court sitting in Ibadan has ordered the Federal Government of Nigeria to pay the sum of 20 billion naira to SUNDAY ADEYEMO also known as SUNDAY IGBOHO.

The 20 billion naira is to be paid to SUNDAY IGBOHO as damages for the invasion of his residence.

Recall that the Department of State Services had on July 1 invaded SUNDAY IGBOHO’s residence in Ibadan, arresting some of his aides.

IGBOHO through his lawyer, YOMI ALIYU, had filed the suit challenging the invasion of his house in Ibadan on July 1, damage of his property as a violation of his fundamental right to peacefully own property and wealth by operatives of the DSS.
