Members of the National Association of Resident Doctors NARD have continued their ongoing strike despite a directive by the Federal Government.
The Minister of Labour and Employment, CHRIS NGIGE, had threatened the striking resident doctors with a no-work-no- pay policy.
The National President of NARD, UYILAWA OKHUAIHESUYI, however said that the resident doctors will not resume until their demands are met.
Meanwhile, the leadership of the National Association of Resident Doctors met with the House of Representatives Committee on Health; alongside the Minister of Health, OSAGIE EHANIRE; Minister of State for Health, OLORUNNIMBE MAMORA; and other stakeholders.
During the meeting, president of the resident doctors, UYILAWA OKHUAIHESUY told the House of Reps the reasons and motive behind their strike.
