Yemen has reported its first corona virus case raising fears of serious consequences in a healthcare system already broken by five years of war.

The Yemen national committee for covid-19 announced this on their verified twitter handle saying the case was reported in the Southern province of Hadramout.

The committee which is headed by President ABD-RABBU MANSOUR said the infected patient was in stable condition and receiving care.

The committee said medical teams and concerned authorities had taken all necessary precautions and promised to release further details on the corona virus case.
